Physical RequirementsSitting for long periods of time at a computer terminal; assist with setting up and tearing down at tabling events and career fairs;

Student will work up to 20 hours per week.
Job SummaryThe College of Communication and Information at the University of Kentucky seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Worker to join our Student Success team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of student affairs and contribute to enriching our student body. The intern will assist with daily operations and special projects across multiple areas within the career readiness area. Experience in a customer service position, both in person and over the phone is preferred. Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word/Excel) and design softwares (Adobe Suite) is also a plus. Applicants should be dependable, punctual, and possess effective communication and problem solving skills, as well as demonstrate strong attention to detail. The student will assist with college career initiatives and other duties as assigned. There is a potential for internship credit.
The Student Assistant will have the chance to work on communications projects including:
- Creating CI branded materials including professional development documents.
- Assisting with site visits, career fairs, and employer and student engagement events.
- Assist with planning and implementing events and workshops to promote student engagement and career readiness.
Other Duties:
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining records.
- Collaborate with staff members on research and data collection to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Position will begin in August 2024.
