About This Position
Physician shall provide professional medical services to patients of the Auburn Memorial Hospital which shall include any patient who does not have a personal physician, or a physician who admits patients to Auburn Memorial Hospital including all unassigned patients from the Emergency Care Unit. The physician will also admit, consult, and cross-cover on patients whose primary care provider has an agreement with the hospitalists to provide inpatient care. Care will be provided according to agreements with the patient’s primary care doctor. The Physician will also arrange necessary follow-up care at the time of discharge.
Qualifications
Hold and maintain in good standing on the medical staff of the Hospital, active medical staff membership and clinical privileges to his/her duties and responsibilities under this Agreement. Hold and maintain current valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New York and be Board Eligible/Certified in internal medicine or osteopathy. Hold and maintain current, valid and unrestricted Federal and State registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances. Be a participating provider in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Be a participating Physician in health insurance and/or managed care plans as required by the Hospital. Satisfy all qualification for insurability under the professional liability policy maintained on behalf of or by the Physician.
