Pisces Rising is an upscale-casual restaurant in Downtown Mount Dora established in 2003 specializing in Modernized Southern Cuisine and a passion in Farm to Table practices. The restaurant provides inside and outside dining. The outside deck over looks Lake Dora and the setting sun. We are looking for Bar Backs to assist the bartenders during their shift. This rewarding position is perfect for those looking to stay busy and are team players.

Bar Back Responsibilities

• Help the bartender with anything that he or she needs.

• Relay key info to security - line is forming outside, someone drinking out of an outside bottle, someone underage

• Help out with punching orders into the POS system if needed (further training)

• Clean counters.

• Clean furniture.

• Clean glasses and dishes.

• Run food and clear plates.

• Clean drink spills and sweep broken glassware.

• Take out the trash or recycling throughout the shift.

• Collect empty glasses from the bar.

• Repair sink clogs.

• Mop behind the bar.

• Clean no-slip mats behind the bar.

• Restock for next shift, including juicing/ cutting citrus for bar use the next night.

• Put away the liquor and beer delivery that came in during the day.

• Track opening or closing liquor inventory behind bar.

• Set and tear down the bar at each shift, closing to open. Including emptying and cleaning all fruit trays and juice pours.

Bar Back Requirements

• Must be able to lift 40+ lbs

• Keep the bar fully stocked at all times.

• Cutting fruits and garnishes.

• Juicing citrus.

• Fill and keep fruit trays full.

• Refill ice wells.

• Restock liquor bottles.

• Empty dispensers.

• Change out beer kegs.

• Replenish napkins, toothpicks, ashtrays, and other counter items.

• Maintain clean rags in bartender's station.
