Position Summary:
The Mobile Therapist serves as a primary therapist specializing in both family and individual therapy. The Mobile Therapist assists in coordinating treatment services for each client in his/her caseload.
Essential Responsibilites:
- The Mobile Therapist will ensure the prompt and accurate completion of all necessary clinical, fiscal and program related forms.
- The Mobile Therapist will assist the program manager in ensuring that all appropriate documentation is maintained.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the child’s treatment team to design and direct the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan.
- Ensure that all behavior modification intervention plans are proactive and individualized to the child and family needs.
- Assist in the management of aggressive clients as needed, using approved de-escalation techniques.
- Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques, recommend non-averse behavioral change methods to treatment team members and family, and implement program using the least restrictive treatment modality.
Qualifications:
1. Meet one of the following:
* Be licensed in the Commonwealth of PA as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker.
* Be licensed as a Behavior Specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct care practicum.
*Have a minimum of one (1) year, full-time experience providing mental health direct care services to children, youth, or young adults and have a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in a human services field.
2. Must possess the ability to be trained, and pass, First Aid and CPR certifications; Valid Driver’s License Required.
3. Must be 21 years of age or older.
