Senior Hospital Accountant in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

Assist in the maintenance, reporting, and updating of the Hospital's general ledger, including but not limited to being responsible for all aspects of asset management, inventory control and construction/project accounting. Responsible for filing the Hospital's tax returns. Coordinates the year-end audit process for the Hospital and its Affiliates

Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/ Business or related discipline.

Minimum experience: 3-5 years in public accounting, preferably with healthcare audit experience or 7-10 years hospital accounting. Strong computer skills and knowledge of various software packages, general ledger, word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to work in a calm, professional manner. Ability to work as a team player with department, department heads and senior management. Ambitious, self started, task oriented. Ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to juggle priorities and work well under pressure.

Pay Range: $75,000.00/year +
