Key Responsibilities:

The senior DevOps Engineer has a crucial role in helping to determine technical direction and implement critical infrastructure and support systems that can accelerate your agile team and delight customers with industry-leading reliability and security. Responsibilities for senior engineers extend to mentorship, leading initiatives and/or teams, and ensuring consistent excellence with the right amount of process and documentation. This role will lead the charge of building critical, scalable, and secure systems that will meet the needs of Suralinks' growing customer base.

Experience and Professional Qualifications

• Excellent team and communication skills

• Cloud platforms, concepts, and technologies using AWS (EKS, EC2, VPCs, ELBs, Cloudfront, S3, etc..)

• Linux System Administration and scripting

• Building CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated building, testing, and delivery of services. (Jenkins, Gitlab, etc..)

• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Saltstack, Cloudformation, etc..)

• Containerization and running containers at scale.

• SaaS/web application/infrastructure security (LPP, IAM, security groups, WAF, etc…)

• Encryption, SSL/TLS, openssl, key and secret management

• Application and system profiling/monitoring tools and techniques

• Scaling/Optimization techniques and experience

• MySQL (or other RDBMS) administration, backups, configuration

• Availability for periodic off-hour deployments, maintenance, and PagerDuty on-call rotations

• 2 years of working experience in AWS
