Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Director for Accessibility Services is primarily responsible for:

  • Ensuring students with disabilities have equal access to all campus programs, services, and activities in compliance with ADA.
  • Providing direct academic support services to students with disabilities.
  • Assisting faculty and staff in providing accommodations and developing appropriate academic success plans.
  • Acting as a liaison between Accessibility Services and other campus offices such as the Counseling Center, Health Services, Dean of Students Office, Advising, Admissions, and Residence Life.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Psychology/Counseling or Special Education, related field.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience working with students with disabilities, some of which must be at the post-secondary level.
  • Experience with case management and provision of academic support services.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining assistive technology.
  • Knowledge of physical, mobility, medical, psychological, sensory, learning and developmental disabilities, relevant documentation, and provision of accommodations for students within a small college, residential setting.

All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience.
