Job Summary

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between Franchise Brand needs and technical implementation. Your primary objective will be to provide technical expertise, support, and project management, ensuring that processes are understood and that projects are executed and delivered on time. You will collaborate closely with Five Star Corporate management, Brand operations teams, CRM Vendors, and IT tech personnel to plan and ultimately complete projects. The projects will vary, but include things like process automations, crm or software rollouts, data acquisitions and reporting. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a strong IT/Technical or software background, Technical project management experience, excellent communication skills, and a customer service mindset. Experience with Home Service CRM software and franchising concepts are assets.

The Solutions Engineer will report directly to the CTO. This is a full time position requiring the candidate to work from our offices located in Springville, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical advisor: Understand project requirements and translate them into a viable plan to complete the project.
• Collaborate with operations teams: Work closely with the brands to prioritize tech projects, keep them informed of the progress, and hold them accountable for their project responsibilities.
• Provide onboarding support: Assist with technical inquiries, training of new franchise owners and franchise users and assure the software is set up properly.
• Design and develop solutions: Work with software vendors to create solutions to integrate, automate or develop and roll out new features.
• Offer post-start support: Act as a technical point of contact, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting assistance, and training to Brand Ops teams.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing: Document best practices, develop technical resources, and provide training sessions to internal teams and franchise users.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Project Manager or similar position.
• Strong technical background in software development, systems engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, conferences, and other business-related events.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, APIs, databases, and networking concepts is highly desirable.
