Responsibilities

The Revenue Cycle Associate is responsible for completing the following tasks in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner:

• Responsible for coding and processing medical claims
• Resolve patient inquiries regarding their statements
• Manage Unpostable Dashboard: (all specialties, all provider groups)
• Manage Correspondence Dashboard: (all specialties, all provider groups)
• Work Athena Buckets as designated by Manager
• Review remittance for any non-Athena outstanding claims and route to the appropriate system
• Mange denials, contact insurance companies and appeal denied claims
• Requisition refunds for patients and Insurance companied
• Maintain patients’ confidentiality and perform position responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
• Collaborates with colleagues within the Revenue Cycle team, physicians and ancillary departments to become a multidisciplinary health care team.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, and medical practice services and routines.
• Previous experience in multi-specialty billing
• 5 years' experience in a multi-specialty setting
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in CPT/ICD coding

Preference

• Athena Experience
• Cerner/Powerchart experience
