About This Position

Position Summary: Assist IFE Suppliers, Program Management, BFE Support, Electrical Engineering, Production, Repair Station, Test Cage and Prototype shop to ensure all IFE Tester and Fit Check components support test and production schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

External:

  • Coordinates with IFE vendor technicians during required software/hardware upgrades and/or training
  • Coordinates the return of all T commission IFE supplier Fit Check and Test Parts with BFE team and Program Manager.
  • Coordinates IFE tester repairs and/or replacements with the appropriate IFE supplier and BFE team.

Internal:

  • Coordinates with Production Planning on quantity and condition of IFE test equipment availability to support production schedule.
  • Creates internal work instructions and procedures for operation and or trouble shooting test equipment.
  • Reviews RECARO Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) for consistency with IFE supplier ATP prior to Electrical Engineering submittal to OEM
  • Reviews all Electrical drawings and BOMs prior to final release to ensure cable part numbers, routings and grounding are correct and feasible for assembly.
  • Works directly with the wiring stations in production during FAI/HOV builds to verify assembly is feasible with documentation.
  • Trains production personnel on operation of test equipment and how to follow the ATP in order to correctly test production seats and its functionality.
  • Production focal point for all IFE failures / first responder to all Electrical related ANDON calls
  • Creates test time analysis for all FAI seat P/N's and reports findings to Production Planning team.
  • Responsible for technical troubleshooting of electronic seat components testing problems in Production and Repair Station areas.

Education:

  • Associates degree in Electronics (A&P Certification preferred); or 4 years of related electronics experience or avionics Military service

Experience:

  • Experience communicating with all levels of employees and leadership; experience communicating with outside suppliers
  • Proficient in creating and reviewing documents related to training and technical details
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a high pressure environment
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions

Computer Skills:

Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, CDB and SAP skills
