About This Position

Job Overview:

The Radiation oncology secretary coordinates activities at the front desk/reception area and interacts effectively with the Radiation Oncologists and all team members.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Computer experience

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a medical office

Certifications and Licenses Required:

N/A

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time Day

Essential Functions:

  • Registers patients, reviews patient insurance plans, maintains accurate records in regarding referral, authorization for radiation therapy, office visits etc,

  • Answers phones professionally, records messages and forwards calls to appropriate party, reschedule and schedules appointments timely

  • Files patient information in a timely fashion

  • Excellent communication skills, time management and problem solving skills
