About This Position

Manager of Pediatric Inpatient Services Operations

The Manager, Children’s Health Service Line Program Operations is an integral part of the service line leadership team providing operational and administrative support.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in managing and leading clinical programs.
  • Knowledge and experience performing financial management, strategic planning and implementation, business/program development, process improvement, outcomes measurement, reporting, and human resource management functions.
  • Financial and operational analytical skills required.
  • A proven ability to build consensus and motivate teams of diverse, multidisciplinary, and multi-departmental stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively at all levels of a complex organization.
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner that is comprehensible to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to utilize metrics and technology in a way that drives excellence, supports operations and facilitates integration.
  • Unimpeachable professional and personal integrity. Apparent energy, drive and passion for excellence.
  • Prior Epic experience required.

Essential Functions:

  • At the direction of the leadership team in the Children’s Health Service line, oversees all onboarding for inpatient physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Meets on a regular basis with revenue cycle liaison and has direct oversight of all revenue cycle activities for all pediatric inpatient departments.
  • Leads and supports hospital-based projects in conjunction with project managers and service line leaders.
  • Develops and monitors financial KPI to support and measure productivity of the inpatient departments.
  • Supports payroll functions, quality incentives and CME processing/monitoring.
  • Works collaboratively with all site administrators across the system in support of all inpatient operations.
  • Partners with clinical and operational stakeholders to provide organizational and administrative support to the roll out of new initiatives.
  • Manage and organize multiple departmental schedules that include arranging departmental meetings, appointments, and seminars.
  • Responsible for the technical and administrative support of all functions of pediatric inpatient departments.
