About This Position

Assist with the implementation of program course schedules into the Student Information System (SIS). Maintain student information system course and catalog data structure and ensure their continuity for the college. Audit data entry to improve the accuracy, integrity, and currency of data. Provide training, support, and customer service to faculty and staff using the SIS. Respond to ticket requests involving student information systems and services.- Create user accounts and manage roles and permissions in the College’s (SIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, reporting systems, and other software managed by the department.
- Generate reports and analyze audit findings to recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- Acts as backup for student information system administration for Davis Tech.
- Receives feedback on functionality, data validation, and data integrity.
- Offer ongoing support and guidance to users regarding (SIS) functionality, data entry best practices, and troubleshooting common issues.
- Generate and submit monthly Clearinghouse reports.
- Maintain advanced and current knowledge and skills of the (SIS).
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles relating to NorthStar and data entry.
- Provide high-quality customer service to faculty, staff, and students regarding SIS-related inquiries, requests, and issues.
- Assist in the data entry and implementation of program schedules and annual catalog updates, including site calendars, course availability, and scheduling sessions.
- Process electronic form workflows involving records corrections and updates.
- Provide help desk support for students, faculty, and staff involving password resets, connectivity issues, data updates, and other needs.
- Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to simplify and contextualize information for non-technical users.
- Perform daily audits and make corrections for data entered into the (SIS) and (CRM).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- Three years of related experience in working with information systems, database management systems, or working in Student Services in a higher education institution.
- Familiarity with academic course scheduling processes and procedures.
- Must have intermediate-level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and project management skills.
- Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to simplify complex and technical information.
- Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities on tight deadlines.
- Must be a logical thinker with problem-solving, project management, and attention to detail to verify the integrity of data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Northstar
- Post-Secondary Degree in Information Systems or Business preferred.
- Two years of experience using, (SIS) or (CRM) software.
- Previous experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization programs.
