OnDemand Experienced Translator/Post-Editor EN(US) to ES(US) - Medical - 6pm and 7am EST at THE LANGUAGE GROUP

Type: Freelance / Remote
Location: Several Time zones
Hours: between 6pm and 7am (Virginia Beach Local Time)

We are looking for talented and qualified English (US) into Spanish (US) Post-Editors with experience in the medical setting.

Task: Review and adjust machine translated text from English US into Spanish US by improving accuracy, quality and fluency. The goal is to ensure that the post-edited versions read as if it were originally written by a native speaker.

Requirements:

• A degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or
• a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating; or
• the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating.

• Bilingual Spanish (US) and English (US).
• Localization Experience - Possess cultural knowledge of the source language and the target language.
• Post-editing Machine Translation or Localization Experience.
• Knowledge of MT and LLM technologies
• Proven Experience in the healthcare industry.
• CAT experience.

Skills:

• Advanced degree in translation or a related field.

• Experience in evaluating Post-edited material:
  Post-editing Quality: fluency, naturalness, accuracy, and coherence
  RAW MT output evaluation: Post-editing length and time, Error type identification and similar

• Additional language proficiency in other languages.
