About This Position
Purpose:
To support the Business Controller in executing financial and accounting duties, as well as performing financial analysis.
Principal Responsibilities:- Uphold DDW’s Mission Statement, Quality Policy, and Values and Beliefs.
- Assist with internal and external reporting.
- Support the month-end closing process, including:
- Preparation of journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Financial statement preparation
- Communication of financial results
- Calculate and reconcile intercompany balances, including sales and balance sheet eliminations.
- Analyze capital expenditure spending and manage consolidated capital expenditure reporting across all locations.
- Oversee the insurance renewal process, including:
- Consolidating submissions from plants
- Maintaining policy documentation
- Documenting open claims
- Maintain foreign exchange rates.
- Assist in Mid-Year and Full-Year Budget processes.
- Support annual audit and tax return processes by preparing necessary schedules and reports.
- Develop a thorough understanding of ERP software and other reporting tools.
- Prepare and update process documentation for various Finance functions.
- Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot financial system entries and assist in designing/testing internal productivity tools.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management
- 5-7 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to condense complex data into executive summaries
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with JD Edwards/Oracle (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated strong work ethic
- Ability to sit for extended periods
