Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring the delivery of tailored insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of commercial lines products and services, as well as exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time remote position that supports our office located in New York, NY.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with assigned clients and understand their unique insurance needs by providing personalized service, advice, and support throughout the policy lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to secure new policies and manage the renewal process for existing clients.
- Complete the renewal marketing process which entails utilizing online quoting tools, preparing applications, and submitting them to surplus markets for review.
- Evaluate and present renewal quotes to clients to assist them in selecting the most suitable options.
- Handle daily servicing by promptly addressing client calls related to changes needed, billing inquiries, certificate handling, and audit questions.
- Report new claims and follow up on existing claims to ensure timely resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between insureds and insurers to facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Issue certificates by reviewing policies and ensuring compliance with certificate requirements.
- Generate and distribute renewal certificate batches to ensure efficient and accurate policy documentation, and online certificate updating for third parties.
- Provide desk coverage in the absence of other Account Managers, ensuring continuity of service and timely response to client needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Small Business Account Manager preferred
- High School Diploma, Associate Degree in Business Administration, or similar preferred
- NY State Property & Casualty insurance license
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products, with Applied EPIC experience preferred
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on understanding and meeting unique client needs through customized insurance solutions.
- Provide empathetic and supportive assistance by being responsive to client needs and proactively enhancing the client experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and clients.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year depending on experience.
*A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
