Position Description:

Bettys Co. (Bettys) is an innovative womens health startup currently in development to serve young women with the care, products, and education they need to navigate the milestones and transitions unique to womens health.

On a mission to normalize healthcare for young women, Bettys will meet young women where they are with a remarkable experience they actually want. Bettys integrated healthcare services will encompass gynecology, wellness, and behavioral health provided virtually and in-person via a unique mobile setting. This will allow Bettys to meet young women where they are: on their phones, on their computers, on college campuses, at work, and in neighborhoods across South-Central Texas.

With plans to grow Bettys into a nationally recognized brand, Bettys will foster a generation of healthy, informed, and empowered young women who can inspire a better future for themselves and others.

The Role of Clinical Medical Assistant at Bettys
Bettys Clinical Medical Assistant is a forward-thinking self -starter whose primary responsibility is to support the daily activities in Bettys mobile suite, including providing hands-on support to the on-site Bettys Clinician, as needed; assisting patients/customers with product purchases; and maintaining the interior of the facility with stocking, shelving, and cleanup.

Our clinical medical assistant must be flexible, able to work independently and anticipate changing needs in a fast -paced environment. In addition, our clinical medical assistant must be committed to the Bettys mission.

Bettys clinicians report directly to the Bettys Medical Director.


Primary Responsibilities
Please note the following is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties required of this position.
o Understand and follow Bettys day-to-day clinical workflow
o Assist medical examinations as specified and within the medical assistant scope of practice
o Under supervision perform both front and back-office duties to include related support services
o Prepare clinical space prior to each patient visit
o Prepare the workspace and facility for daily use
o Support retail operations, including stocking, shelving, inventory, and shipping
o Perform some administrative duties
o Maintain knowledge of Bettys retail products to help guide in-person patients according to their needs

Basic Qualifications
o High School Diploma or equivalent required
o Minimum 1 year experience as medical Assistant required
o Medical Assistant Diploma from accredited college required
o Certified Basic Life Support, American Heart Association required
o Track record of high performance
o Ability to think critically and problem solve
o Customer service experience
o Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
o Associates Degree or progress toward a Bachelors Degree
o Experience in a clinical setting or other womens personal care setting
o Ability to collaborate with others for process, product, and service improvement
o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences
o Proven ability to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations
o Attention to detail
o Proven experience managing multiple priorities
o Discretion with sensitive material and communications
o Interest in career progression in medicine, marketing, entrepreneurship

Location & Dates
This role is based in San Antonio, Texas.
Dates vary week to week, must be able to work Saturdays every other week
