JOB SUMMARY

The CNA provides routine daily care and services including feeding, bathing, dressing, exercising, toileting, and general comfort of residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.   • Assists with daily living activities including proper feeding, bathing, dressing, exercising, and toileting
  • Reports to the nurse changes in the resident’s status or any other notable changes
  • Responds to calls from residents for assistance
  • Ensures resident areas are clean, tidy, and up to The Oaks at Bartlett standards
  • Assists residents with transfers by following the policies and procedures for using a gait belt, sit to stand lift or hoyer lift.
  • Practices good customer service while caring for all residents and working with coworkers.
  • Provides positive interactions throughout the shift.
  • Assist with resident activities, as necessary
  • Adheres to all professional standards, follow policies and procedures, and abides by all Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Recognized as a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing in the State of Illinois, Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Preferred
  • One or more years of experience in a skilled nursing environment, Preferred
  • CPR Certification, Preferred
  • Ability to provide patient centered care
  • Ability to recognize unusual or emergency situations that require intervention
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work in a team environment and individually
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push residents in wheelchairs up to 300 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, and balance and carry supplies.
