Part Time Building Maintenance Technician at Sarasota County Sheriff's Office – Sarasota, Florida

The part-time building maintenance technician will work 25 hours per week and duties will include but are not limited to: perform general maintenance and repairs including, painting, replacing light bulbs and switches, hanging pictures, maps, etc., assist in the moving of tables, chairs, cabinets, desks, and other office furniture and equipment, and perform other duties as directed or as the situation dictates. Work hours may occasionally be required before or after normal business hours based on work assignment.

Tasks: Complete assignment as directed; maintain work areas. knowledge of general orders; report identified or potential safety, maintenance, or non-compliance issues; maintain files on work order requests; assist in determining maintenance priorities; perform minor repairs; move/transport furniture/equipment; replace damaged furniture; replace light bulbs/fixtures; complete work orders/maintenance requests; respond to maintenance requests; inspect completed work; notify supervisor of unsafe conditions; requisition maintenance supplies; plan painting jobs; and performs painting jobs.
