Colony Park Animal Hospital is seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented Kennel Assistants to join our dedicated team. Dependable and reliable, this individual will be part of all daily operations pertaining to the care of our daily and boarding patients while working with a team to maintain proper care and safety of all dogs in our care.

The ideal candidate will love dogs, have knowledge of animal health issues, ensure that all sanitation procedures and guidelines are complete, and deal with all the issues that arise from customers and team members in a professional manner.

This is a part-time position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as this position requires weekend and holiday hours. This is an active job so long hours of standing on your feet, bending, kneeling, scrubbing, and lifting.

Job Types: Part-time

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming

Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Familiarity with basic grooming procedures is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
