About This Position
Job Summary
The Structural E.I. is responsible for designing a variety of engineering projects including both residential and commercial structures. In addition to designing active projects, the Structural E.I. will also help create master engineering, set drafting standards, and develop templates and calculation tools to improve the team’s designing efficiency and plan for growth.

Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive wind load assessments for various projects
• Execute comprehensive project-specific structural analysis and calculations
• Draft and design engineering construction documents for custom and production homes, remodels, commercial buildings, and other projects
• Perform and attend site visits and adeptly translate existing structures into comprehensive engineering plans
• Design and implement comprehensive technical training programs for onboarding new employees
• Develop innovative tools to enhance technical efficiency and comprehension within the team Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on structural designs

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 0-4 years experience in residential construction (commercial experience is a plus)
• Must have passed the Florida Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
• Must be eligible to live and work in the United States
Skills
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus)
• Ability to translate as-built conditions to CAD details
• Understanding of basic calculations and using spreadsheets
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF software
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at once
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Being a team player
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
