Role Overview

As a virtual Enrollment Specialist at Skilltrade, you will be a vital part of our inside sales team, driving the growth of our student community. You will engage with prospective students, understand their career aspirations, and expertly guide them through the enrollment process. Your role is to help them make informed decisions by presenting Skilltrades programs as the ideal solution for their educational and professional goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Outreach: Proactively engage potential students through a high volume of outbound calls, texts, and emails to drive enrollment growth.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct discovery calls to assess prospective students' needs and present Skilltrade programs as the ideal solution. Foster a buying atmosphere and confidently close sales.
  • Enrollment Process: Guide students through program selection and the application process, ensuring a smooth enrollment experience.
  • Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with prospects to address questions and provide additional information.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team and student and campus operations to align sales efforts with campaigns and enhance lead generation.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales activities, pipelines, and results; provide feedback to improve processes.
  • CRM Management: Use Salesforce to manage leads and track interactions efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years in inside sales as a top performer, ideally in education or ed-tech.
  • Adaptability and Drive: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, showing initiative and adaptability.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills across phone, SMS, and email.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets; strong closing skills for a one-to-two call sales cycle.
  • Customer Focus: Build strong relationships and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with Salesforce and additional sales tools.
  • Coachable and Growth-Oriented: Open to learning, adaptable, and eager for self-improvement; embrace feedback constructively.
  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
