Production Assistant/Coordinator - DeAngelo Marine Exhaust

As a Production Coordinator/Assistant at DeAngelo Marine Exhaust, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient production scheduling and process improvement. Working closely with the floor manager, you will oversee the scheduling of production activities, coordinate with team members to optimize production workflows, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Your focus on scheduling, efficiency, and collaboration will be key to our success in delivering high-quality marine exhaust systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Production Scheduling:
   • Maintain production schedules to meet customer demands.
   • Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders.
   • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed.
2. Quality Control:
   • Assist with the implementation of quality control procedures and guidelines.
   • Document and report any quality issues or defects.
3. Process Improvement:
   • Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the team to implement solutions.
   • Analyze production processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
   • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance overall operations.
4. Cross-Departmental Coordination:
   • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, service, and engineering, to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
   • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address production-related issues and opportunities for improvement.
5. Inventory Management:
   • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure adequate supply of materials.
6. Production Oversight:
   • Assist the floor manager in overseeing the production process to ensure timely completion of orders.
   • Coordinate with the production team to address any production-related issues and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in production management, coordination, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills.
