Guthrie County Hospital has an opening for a full-time Patient Account Representative in our Billing Department. This position reports to the Revenue Cycle Manager, working an average of 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, from 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
The Patient Account Rep posts payments from insurance companies and patients as well as researches, corrects and reprocesses denied claims. This position performs the billing function for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurances to ensure proper reimbursements are made on a timely basis. Patient Account Reps follow up on unpaid claims over 45 days old and contact past due self pay patients. They are also responsible for answering incoming department calls, processing payments over the phone, and setting up payment plans as needed.

· High school diploma or equivalent
· One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
