About the Organization: CCARC was originally founded in 1952 by a group of parents who gathered in their homes to support one another as they faced the challenges and rewards of raising a child with an intellectual or developmental disability. Today, CCARC is a private, nonprofit (501c3) organization offering various services to support adults with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Primary Purpose: The Community Engagement Coordinator will ensure efficient and prompt execution of donor stewardship initiatives, strategize, plan, and execute CCARC events, implement strategies to grow and steward donors, and increase engagement. This person works cooperatively to create a development plan with the Board of Directors of CCARC, Inc., the CCARC Foundation, and the Chief Executive Officer to promote the agency’s mission to current and prospective donors. This person will develop relationships with current and prospective donors to encourage ongoing support of CCARC, Inc. This position will function according to the policies established by the CCARC Board of Director’s and fully implement CCARC’s mission.

● Creates fund development strategies and executes upon the plan to achieve results ● Takes initiative to identify, develop, and implement operational plans for fundraising goals ● Manages multiple tasks and achieves milestones in a timely manner and dynamic environment ● Uses data to establish metrics and goals ● Possesses strong critical thinking skills ● Demonstrates leadership, communication, project management, and team building skills ● Develops processes and procedures and is committed to continuous performance improvement ● Possess in-depth knowledge of database management ● Fosters and welcomes working with diverse groups ● Manages projects both independently and within a team environment ● Collaborates with organization’s leadership, and volunteers

coordinates and manages all aspects and oversight of donor development, cultivation, and engagement ● Uses data to establish metrics and quantitative insights on donor trends and forecasts ● Develops and maintains a prospect portfolio to optimize fundraising opportunities● Evaluates processes and procedures and creates efficiencies to achieve and drive results ● Provides regular status reports and projections to the CEO ● Collaborates with and provides guidance to other departments within the organization for philanthropic activities and events. ● Creates and manages projects on limited resources and within budget ● Collaborates with the Manager of Marketing and Communication to ensure Constituent Relationship Management software accuracy (Raiser’s Edge), complete comprehensive data input and analysis, utilize data for donor cultivation, foundation and funders reporting ● Establishes protocols to maintain donor confidentiality and data integrity ● Presents efforts and performance

Donor Cultivation and Engagement:

● Monitors and examines current donor engagement and patterns for trends and growth opportunities ● Engages and cultivates current donor relationships ● Examines current and changing member demographics and creates strategy for engagement and cultivation ● Identifies new engagement opportunities to build donor pipeline ● Provides content for communications and social media in collaboration with Manager of Communications Events ● Develops and implements all activities for annual fundraising and special events including, logos, invitations, programs, entertainment, and overall theme/message to promote the work of CCARC and raise funds through sponsorships, raffle, auctions, and ticket sales ● Secures financial support from individuals, donors and foundations ● Represents CCARC at community events

Essential Functions:

• Implementing and administering effective outreach programs or events. • Assume responsibility for the CCARC annual golf tournament, annual meeting, spring event and work with the Development Task Force to evaluate additional beneficial events to steward donors and community engagement. • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communication manager to collectively market effective fundraising events, outreach, donor development, branding, and other tasks as appropriate. • Develop and implement annual fundraising events calendar. Ownership of events, including being entertainment and overall theme/message to promote the work of CCARC and raise funds through sponsorships, raffle, auctions, and ticket sales. • Coordinate and manage community events, workshops, and meetings, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve their objectives. • Grow and engage volunteers to provide an enriching experience while accomplishing projects benefiting CCARC and the individuals served. (i.e., United Way Day of Caring) • Assist with other agency activities as determined appropriate by the Chief Executive Officer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work. Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in relevant major or several years’ experience with proven success. • Minimum of three years' experience in fund development and public relations or other relevant expertise as approved by the Chief Executive Officer.

Work Experience Requirements: • Effective writing skills for general agency correspondence. • Community outreach experience • Excellent public relations skills that will positively present the agency. • Must complete the Agency's Employee Training. • Must have a valid Driver’s License, be insurable with Agency carrier and have own vehicle to use, as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting to at least ten lbs. • Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties. • Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties. • Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary. • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and able to complete repetitive tasks like answering phones and typing.
