About This Position

Overview

Our Keys Auto Center is looking for a Scooter/Golf Cart/Small Engine Repair Mechanic/Technician to join the team.

The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair, quality inspections, diagnostics and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards.



Responsibilities

  • Complete Pre-Delivery inspections.
  • Upgrade Low Speed Vehicles with accessories, lighting, lifts, wheels, audio, heating etc.
  • Document in writing the troubleshooting steps, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Clearly communicate the diagnosis and repairs.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended using checklists.
  • Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
  • Perform a thorough safety check and multi point inspection to determine if any additional service work is required.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events; Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Ensures that vehicles are kept clean. Notifies management immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications

    • Valid driver license and clean driving record.
    • Experience with scooters, golf carts and/or small engine repair is preferred!
    • Possess excellent oral communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and quality work is essential.
    • Must possess high-performance problem-solving skills.
    • Possess the ability to report to work on time and perform job responsibilities in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
