Respiratory Therapist Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist obtains electrocardiograph tracings, performs stress testing (under the direction of a Cardiologist), and performs Holter monitoring procedures. Records tracings and other data. Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients by prescription of a physician. Sets up and operates devices such as respirators, mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators. Performs pulmonary drainage and assists patient in performing breathing exercises.

Respiratory Therapist Position Requirements

• American Heart BLS required, ACLS preferred
• One year experience in acute and critical care environment preferred

Salary range:$31.16 - $48.30 Commensurate with experience
