Legal Clerk needed to Support the United States Attorney's Office

Legal clerk will be providing witness management assistance prior to, during and after the trail. Legal clerk will be working directly with Fact witnesses provide them with assistance and support to ensure appearance for court, pre-trial conferences and grand jury.

Job Duties

• Receive visitors, field phone calls, questions, and other inquiries from fact witnesses seeking information pertaining to court.
• Notify fact witnesses with appearance date/time of schedule court appearance.
• Prior to fact witness ensure all travel documents and appearance date and time have been provided to the witness
• Meet with Witness upon arrival and collect necessary documentation and signatures. Accompany them to court to ensure a safe waiting area is available
• Provide administrative information and assistance concerning cases to other agencies and organization
• Maintain internal status information on disposition of designated information, files and assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma is required. Undergraduate degree is preferred
• Good Communication skills
• Proficient in word processing and date entry
• Able to enter and retrieve information from databases
