SBBC provides ABA therapy & behavior support interventions in-school & in-home to improve social skills, academics, vocational skills, functional skills, & communication. This is accomplished through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) & in collaboration with other specialists, school staff, the students we serve, & caregivers.

SUMMARY
Responsible for providing skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with autism, serious emotional disabilities and other developmental disabilities in the school, home, and/or community settings, under the direction of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). The RBT Supervisor Apprentice will collect data on programs, assist with staff training, and assist with assessments as needed.
WORK DAY
As an RBT Supervisor Apprentice, your time will be split between implementing ABA therapy with clients and conducting administrative tasks, for approximately 30-40 hours per week.
COMPENSATION
This position is considered full-time and can be structured as a W-2 position.
- $18-$27 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Apprentices will be evaluated after an initial 30 day introductory period to evaluate level placement in the apprenticeship program. Frequency of duties, percent of time and work year may vary based on department or building assignment.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Assist with day-to-day functions of SBBC.
- Assist with the RBT credentialing process.
- Ensure supervisors add new RBTs to their BACB supervisees.
- Track RBT credentialing end dates.
- Notify supervisors 6 weeks prior to RBT credential expiration.
- Follow up to ensure the credentialing process was completed.
- Notify the clinical director of any ongoing credentialing issues.
- Document new credentialing expiration dates in Salesforce and Aloha ABA.
- Track employee strikes.
- Review, update, and/or organize relevant client and/or employee documents.
- Write and distribute email, correspondence, letters, and forms.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of SBBC’s clinical services.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of SBBC staff behavior skills training methods, materials, and procedures.
- Accept feedback and ongoing training in a positive and professional manner.
CLINICAL
- Work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Serve as RBT Supervisor Apprentice, providing training, guidance, oversight, and corrective support, as needed, for other program coordinators.
- Attend and facilitate biweekly program coordinator meetings.
- Serve as a sub when employee call offs, if floaters and other PCs are not available.
- Provide direct support and assist staff with implementation, in one-on-one and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive training and natural environment teaching arrangements.
- Follow prescribed behavior skills acquisition and behavior change protocols.
- Assist with preparing materials as necessary.
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
- Assist with behavioral assessments.
- Document data on interventions, progress data, session notes.
- Assist with caregiver and staff training of client’s individualized treatment and behavior change protocols, through direct teaching, modeling, feedback, and ongoing fidelity checks.
- Immediately report to BCBA any staff or client incidents/variances or complaints.
- Consistently attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
- Communicate with staff regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA.
- Collaborate with school teams and attend IEP meetings as necessary.
- Participate in in-service programs and present in-service programs as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Accept feedback and ongoing training in a positive and professional manner.
- Follow BACB ethical and professional guidelines.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education or related field preferred.
- Enrollment in ABA graduate coursework and seeking to accrue hours toward sitting for BCaBA or BCBA boards, required.
- Four years’ experience implementing ABA, working with clients with behavior challenges and other developmental disabilities
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS
- Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification, including annual renewal and registration
- BCaBC preferred
- CPR and CPI certification
- Drug Screen/Criminal background check required for hire
DIRECT SUPERVISOR
The RBT Supervisor Apprentice reports directly to the regional Clinical Director.
