Pay: 31.85/hr
May be required to work 12-hour day or night shift, 4 days on/4 days off OR 1st shift position, 4 10-hour days.
Candididates will need to have flexibility for shift requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Will perform a variety of preventive, routine and emergency tasks for the upkeep and sustaining of plant machinery and infrastructure used to produce high performance pigments. Support production facility that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet customer demands.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Complete millwright activities to include the construction, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting repair and refitting of stationary industrial machinery, mechanical and hydraulic equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and specifications.

Experience with pumps, piping and gear box rebuilds

Sheet metal and construction fabrication work to include the cutting, welding and forming of sheet metal, metal bar and stock to design requirements and specifications.

Complete plumbing and pipefitting to include the cutting and welding of pipe, installation of valving and gasketing to design requirements and specifications.

Refrigeration maintenance activities include the operation, installation, maintenance troubleshooting repair and refitting of ammonia compressors and ice making and delivery system.

Complete preventative maintenance activities to include but not limited to lubrication, visual inspection, and functional checks; perform repairs and adjustments to equipment.

Work on steam systems including operation of the site boilers, troubleshooting of and replacement of steam traps, steam pipe work, condensate pumps and associated systems.

Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Adhere to all safety and work procedures.

Respirator qualified.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/equivalent preferred or pass a pre-employment screening assessment.

May be required to pass written and hands-on testing.

3 – 5 years’ maintenance experience with industrial machinery, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

Experience with pumps, piping and gear box rebuilds.

Respirator qualification required; must meet OSHA fit testing and medical clearance requirements.
