Job Description

What will your day look like with us?

  • Ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and renegotiate timelines as needed.
  • Review project data to assign the appropriate site superintendent in collaboration with the project director.
  • Identify and communicate key project elements to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and award subcontractor contracts, and provide necessary information for contract issuance.
  • Share construction plans with subcontractors.
  • Order materials and equipment, and provide details for purchase orders.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc meetings to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Ensure work quality and health & safety compliance.
  • Monitor budgeted vs. actual costs and identify discrepancies.
  • Provide accounting with necessary data for subcontractor invoice processing.
  • Verify subcontractor billing aligns with completed work and agreements.
  • Track client billing and identify additional billable work not covered in the original contract.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of the project assistant.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
  • 5–7 years of solid project management experience in high-rise or retail construction, from design to delivery.
  • Experience in contamination and asbestos removal.
  • Education in construction (civil engineering or technician, and project management).
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking, and time management.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Procore, and Estimateur General.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple trades and projects from start to finish.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Available to work both in-office and on construction sites.
  • Certified and available to visit sites in Canada and the U.S..
  • Strong experience in project planning, estimating, scheduling, cost control, project administration, and contract management.
  • Proven skills in safety, negotiation, workforce management, quality, and project execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership communication skills, with direct interaction with architects, consultants, contractors, and client trades.
  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading) is required due to interactions with Canadian and U.S. clients.
  • National experience is an asset.
