About This Position
CPLC's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs are committed to giving every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, an opportunity to succeed in school and life. Provides full-day, full-year early childhood development services to low income children, ages 0-3 years, and their families in educationally-stimulating learning environments. Migrant Head Start program provides full-day, full-year program services to children, ages 0-5 years, of migrant and seasonal farm and agriculture working families where hand-picked and row crops are prevalent.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment Attendance & Transition (ERSEAT) Coordinator develops and implements policies, services and practices related to recruitment, eligibility determination, enrollment and transition of children and families in the CPLC Early Childhood Development Program. Monitors practices and procedures to ensure compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards and federal, state and local requirements. Promotes school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success as it relates to this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- A baccalaureate degree is required.
- A degree in social sciences, human services, early childhood education, or education is highly preferred.
- a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a community health system or head start environment that serves culturally diverse low-income children and families is preferred.
Other requirements:
- Knowledge of statewide community support resources and experience working with low-income and culturally diverse children, families and communities required.
- Individual must possess strong capacity building, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
- Use of computer, computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe) and web-based systems are required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred.
