Job Purpose: Perform Advanced level maintenance, repair, assembly and installation of cranes when required.

Essential Functions

• Service or repair mechanical equipment in house and/or at customer's site domestically or internationally.

• Keep crane systems operating by performing inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance and repairing equipment as required.

• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards.

• Ensure compliance with Techcrane Quality Management System.

• Perform assembly, installation and testing of hydraulic cranes and components.

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

• Operate forklift, hand truck, man lift and other production equipment.

• Maintain clean and organized shop..

• Confer with Engineering and Production Manager regarding problems with operation or maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent or technical school.

• At least three-year experience as crane technician; demonstrated mechanical skills.

• Able to read blueprints, schematics and understand technical data.

• Able to identify and resolve operational malfunctions.

• Valid driver's license.

• Crane operators license preferred.

• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Must be able to climb and balance; work at heights.

• Regularly lift/carry 50 pounds or more.

• Travel aboard boats and helicopters; board offshore platforms.

Work Environment

• Will spend significant amounts of time working in field, including offshore; will also spend time in assembly shop and warehouse.

• Noise level will range from moderate to very loud.
