Position Summary
The Development Assistant is responsible for managing donor related payment information, communication to donors through calls and mail processes, facilitate event registration, manage a portfolio, update donor’s information, assist in the management of the Director of Developments calendar and activities. This individual will support members of Oliver Gospel’s development team. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative, clerical, and operational support to the team and will manage several milestones and projects efficiently.

Work experience in a related field.
Knowledge of PC-based software and relevant applications and office equipment Working knowledge of CRM, volunteer, and donor database software Experience in bulk mail processing.
Experience in providing superior customer service

Ability to develop positive rapport with individuals while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism. Must be flexible to cover duties assigned outside of a regular work schedule.
Position Responsibilities
- Process monetary donations and create/update donor files.
- Manage, analyze, and report monetary gifts and documentation to finance and supervisor.
- Ensure donation batches are accurate, organized, and processed daily, with donor acknowledgment letters mailed within 24 hours of receipt.
- Travel to and from Post Offices to receive and deliver mail.
- Schedules check presentations, marketing, development calendars, and communicate schedules to staff.
- Create, print, and process daily donor acknowledgements and other mailed communications.
- Provide exceptional donor relations customer service including thank you calls to donors and answering all phone calls related to the Development Department, assisting in enhancing the customer experience of individuals contacting Oliver Gospel with questions, concerns, comments, or contributions related to donor relations.
- Manage Employer Match systems and follow up on eligible donors
- Manage all aspects of bulk mail processing and departmental stationery supplies.
- Manage donor CRM data collection, automation, quality assurance, and data accountability.
- Coordinate projects and tasks for Development Director, including gathering and complying grant data and attachments.
- Participate and assist with special events as needed including registration for the event.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
