Shipping/Receiving Supervisor at MOBILE CLIMATE CONTROL CORP – York, Pennsylvania

Summary/Objective

Ensure the smooth and efficient operations of shipping and receiving departments.

Assignment-Tasks/Responsibilities

• Inspect loading/unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping/receiving

specifications.

• Direct movement of materials from shipping and receiving area to warehouse and/or staging

area.

• Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping

priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet deadlines.

• Supervise/coordinate the activities of shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel to maintain

and ensure materials are allocated to the appropriate bin and location.

• Develop work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.

• Arrange transportation according to customer instruction and standard.

• Inspect incoming materials and ensure Receiving follow FIFO and notify Quality Department of

potential quality issues.

• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with best practices specifications.

• Maintain physical inventory accuracy through cycle counting, movement of material from bin to

bin through out system.

• Ensure the Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse area is organized and clean at all times and

meets all compliance requirements.

• Conduct training, development, and performance-monitoring activities of each employee in

department.

Physical Demands

• Lift 50 pounds.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma.

• 2 years of previous supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Forklift license or certification.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
