Part Time Aftercare (2026-2027 School Year) in Nolensville, Tennessee at St Michael Academy Inc

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Aftercare employees supervise students (PreK through 7th Grade) enrolled in the St. Michael Academy Aftercare program.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring the safety and well-being of children during out-of-school hours, supervising activities, crafts, games, outdoor play, and homework. Hours are from 3pm until 6pm on school days. Scheduled workdays could one to five days per week depending upon each candidate's availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic Mission of the school by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church; an employee may not espouse any doctrine inconsistent with the teachings of the Church.
• Collaborates with Aftercare Director and other after care employees to plan and organize structured and supervised after school time with students
• Provides supervision and interaction to meet the needs of participating students.
• Maintains the safety of all participating students.
• Maintain a functional and pleasant environment.
• At all times demonstrate professional responsibility
• Maintain confidentiality of information, display sound judgment in dress and general behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal office environment.

Required Activities:

Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing, carrying, and keyboarding.

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player
• Be available for late afternoon and evening work; have reliable transportation
• The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check
• Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance
