Overview
Responsibilities
This role will focus primarily on telephone triage and advice, while also responding to patients’ urgent needs in clinic or telephonically. As the clinic grows, RN roles and responsibilities will expand, within the scope of your Nursing licensure. RN’s will be working in conjunction with a care team of providers and clinicians. You will have the exciting opportunity to be a part of a newly opened clinic, as of March of 2024. As such, patient volume and clinic operations will take time to grow and expand, so flexibility and a nimble attitude are key.

Services Offered:
- Nurse Telephone and in-clinic triage
- Behavioral health and counseling services
- Reproductive health services
- Transgender health care
- Prenatal and post-partum care (including deliveries)
- Pediatric care
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Health maintenance with preventive care
Responsibilities
- 2 years or more, within the last three years, experience working in direct patient care.
- Experience working in Primary Care or an FQHC, and/or Telephone Triaging
- Oregon and Washington State Nursing licensure upon hire
- BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.
- ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.
- Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
- Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
- BLS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- BLS must not expire during orientation
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
- External Candidates: Vacation, paid or unpaid leave requests up to 8-weeks from the start date are not permitted. All other vacation, paid or unpaid leave requests are subject to compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) and OHSU.
- Internal Nurse Candidates: All vacation, paid or unpaid leave requests are subject to compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between ONA and OHSU. Pre-scheduled vacations or leave plans must be disclosed prior to consideration for hire to determine the start
- Within the last 3 years, experience in working an ambulatory care setting including telephone triage.
- National Ambulatory certification.
