About This Position
Summary of Position:
The Food Safety & Quality Control Supervisor oversees the execution and coordination of all food safety and quality control systems for the Fortune International facility. This role is directly responsible to ensure the facility follows all SQF standards and company established food safety strategy. This individual will also constantly assess and respond to issues of product quality and inventory accuracy meeting company standards. This individual will also investigate and review inventory or quality related requests, to complete corrective actions and adjustments meeting company standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the daily tasks and conduct plant inspections to ensure food safety and sanitation programs are effective.
• Establish, monitor, and continuously improve facility programs including Safe Quality Food (SQF), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and additional organization food safety programs.
• Supervise sanitation team in daily activities to ensure cleaning and sanitation procedures, and processes to meet state, federal, and GMP requirements.
• Ensure all environmental testing, ATP monitoring, and water testing programs are completed as established.
• Monitor and coordinate all building maintenance requests.
• Monitor and assist in inventory control procedures, by verifying product quality, counts, or adjustments as needed.
• Reconciles and reviews customer complaints with product inventories in Seasoft, reporting discrepancies to Operations Management.
