About This Position

Lead Golf Shop Attendant

Working under the direction of the Golf Ops Director, in collaboration with the Assistant General Manager, the Lead Golf Shop Attendant is a Full-Time position that assists in ensuring that all Pro Shop standards are met with a focus on ensuring that customer satisfaction and guest relations provided are exceptional. Special focus to include member/guest satisfaction, sales promotions, and assisting the Golf Ops Director in terms of merchandising, restocking the golf shop, and tournament operations.

Essential job functions:

  • Effectively manage/monitor the tee sheet & Point of Sales system in place.
  • Promote products to members and guests.
  • Provide first-class guest services to members/guests.
  • Assist in implementing departmental operating policies & procedures as provided by the Golf Ops Director & AGM.
  • Meets weekly with the Golf Ops Director and AGM to discuss events/tournaments, policies, and inventory/merchandise control.
  • Assisting the Golf Ops Director with the organization and implementation of all aspects of golf outings and tournament operations including tournament set-up and prep, cart staging, and day-of event needs and flexibility.
  • Assist with merchandising operations including displaying and assisting with inventory control procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring a neat & clean golf shop, well-organized merchandise/displays, and clean rental club sets for next day of use.
  • Assist in promoting sales of memberships & other merchandise promotions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

Qualifications:

  • Flexibility in scheduling & availability.
  • Knowledge of the general game of golf helpful.
  • Retail experience (Point of Sales operation/Inventory controls) a plus.
  • Previous golf course experience a plus.
