Warehouse job duties and responsibilities

Warehouse workers should expect to perform many different duties, which can include:

Loading, unloading and moving products and materials by hand or by using equipment such as a forklift

Counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking products of various sizes to make sure shipments are safe

Keeping an inventory of products in the warehouse and making sure everything is in the correct place and ordered if needed

Keeping the area safe and ensuring the safety of other warehouse workers

Working with others within the warehouse and managers to make sure daily procedures are done
