About This Position
Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Manager oversees center maintenance functions including daily repairs, upkeep, and general maintenance of center facilities, systems, property, grounds, and equipment. Ensures all maintenance operations are completed in a timely manner in compliance with the PRH, industrial safety and health standards, and any federal, state, and/or local codes as applicable.
Essential Functions
- Supervise and lead maintenance procedures and actions of the Facility Maintenance staff and assigns schedules to ensure maintenance assistance is available as needed.
- Track expenses within the allocated budget including the costs of operating, maintaining, and repairing motorized and mobile equipment (e.g., power mowers, tractors, portable generators, snowplow, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a Preventive Maintenance Program, including operations and maintenance tasks (O&M), in collaboration with center management and in compliance with PRH Preventive Maintenance Plan guidance.
- Implement and maintain a work order tracking system to ensure timely response to staff work orders, warranty maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining documentation to support required reports submitted in the Job Corps Funded Not Corrected (FNC) system.
- Proactively submit purchase requisitions for equipment repairs and supplies to ensure timely maintenance in line with the established budget.
- Safeguard all maintenance equipment and property.
- Utilize vehicles for center-related needs such as golf carts, hand trucks, or riding mowers.
- Provide oversight of any asbestos and lead-based paint abatement programs.
- Participate on the center safety committee and assist the designated Safety Officer in administering a compliant occupational safety and health program.
- Collaborate with center management to plan and execute the center career technical skills training(CTST) plan.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to respond to emergencies on evenings and weekends.
- Utilize information systems and handle student data in strict adherence to Job Corps and Strategix policies to protect student’s personally identifiable information (PII) and reduce network security threats

Qualifications and Experience Minimum
Post-secondary degree or certification in Building Maintenance Technology or related field and four years of broad-based experience in construction/building maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in related field. Must be well- organized and able to prioritize tasks. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and math skills. Information technology knowledge. Unless waived by management, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required. OSHA certification. Willingness to provide on-call center support as warranted.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field, five years supervisory experience in construction or building maintenance.
