Job Description
Job Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer Intern will support our Quality and Aftermarket Sales teams. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering, quality assurance, and customer-focused sales processes within a manufacturing environment. The internship is 2 months in duration and provides exposure to both technical and business aspects of water control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Quality team with inspection, testing, and documentation of metal fabricated gate products.
- Support analysis of product failures, warranty claims, and field issues to identify root causes.
- Help prepare technical reports and recommendations for quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Aftermarket Sales team to support customer inquiries, technical documentation, and product updates.
- Maintain accurate records of parts, service activities, and customer feedback.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand product performance and customer requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and designs
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of quality management principles and inspection techniques.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CAD experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
