The Donor Database Manager is a member of the Development Team, serving as the organization’s primary steward of donor data and the strategic backbone of our fundraising operations. This role goes beyond database administration—it translates donor data into actionable insights that shape giving strategy, inform donor engagement, and strengthen campaign performance. • Translate data analysis into strategic recommendations for donor cultivation, major gift identification, and campaign design
  • Leverage iWave and other prospect research tools to identify, analyze, and prioritize prospective donors
  • Track the organization’s various campaigns and appeals, monitoring performance against goals and providing regular updates to leadership
  • Generate ad hoc reports and data pulls as needed to support major gifts, grant writing, board reporting, and other departments

Systems & Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Serve as the internal expert and resource for Salesforce; provide training and ongoing support to Development Team staff
  • Partner with the Grant Writer to provide accurate giving histories, board member data, and campaign reporting
  • Collaborate with Communications to support targeted donor outreach and segmented email campaigns

  • Proficiency in Salesforce (Salesforce Administrator certification a plus); experience with iWave or similar prospect research tools preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build and interpret complex queries, reports, and dashboards to inform fundraising strategy
  • Strong analytical mindset—able to synthesize complex data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate data clearly to non-technical colleagues and leadership
