Job Description

Nurse Supervisor-Occupational Health

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a clinical nurse supervisor to join our team in occupational health.
The primary responsibility of the clinical nurse supervisor is: In collaboration with the Occupational Health Provider, this individual is responsible for patient flow and overall day-to-day operations that impact the occupational health department at Valley Regional Hospital and Mt. Ascutney Hospital. Provides direct oversight of care to support patient and staff needs. Serves as a role model and leader to uphold institutional priorities, policies and practices.

  • Collaborates and assists with operations by functioning as the first line supervisor to staff. Acts as a resource to staff to provide direct assistance.
  • Participates in the performance management of staff members, including coaching, preparation of performance evaluations, and the performance management process.
  • Works with the staff to facilitate patient flow and to optimize clinical capacity.
  • Determines when and how to flex staff schedules to provide clinical coverage.
  • Conducts periodic environmental surveillance and participates in regulatory readiness activities to assure compliance with CMS regulations, best practices, and Occ. Health policies/procedures.

Compensation: This is an exempt position

Min: $43.71

Max: $61.61
Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing program required.
  • Active RN License in the State of Vermont and New Hampshire
  • 2 years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability required.
  • Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies within the assigned unit.
  • BLS required within 3 months of hire
  • BAT and Urine Specimen Collection Certification-Must obtain within 3 months of hire.
