Job Title: Field Coordinator

SUMMARY
The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations for DHI’s water treatment and water transfer services. This role involves managing the setup, operation, and rig-down phases of water-related projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company policies and customer specifications. The Site Coordinator will lead and supervise teams, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and smooth execution of projects at job sites. This position also requires effective communication with both the customer and internal management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Operations Management
• Lead the setup, operation, and breakdown of water treatment or transfer field operations, including planning, resource allocation, and on-site coordination.
• Manage and oversee the safe and efficient operation of equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed according to the project timeline and customer specifications.
• Supervise the crew, ensuring employees follow procedures, stay organized, and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Perform regular site inspections and ensure compliance with DHI’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Maintain clean and orderly yards at all work sites.
Team Leadership and Training
• Supervise and mentor crew members, providing coaching and feedback to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead by example, instilling a “can-do” attitude and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Identify skill gaps within the team and provide opportunities for training, ensuring employees are properly equipped for the work they perform.
• Evaluate crew members regularly and make recommendations for promotions, additional training, or disciplinary actions as needed.
Customer Relations and Communication
• Regularly meet with customers to ensure satisfaction with ongoing work, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
• Serve as the main point of contact on-site for customers, maintaining a professional and positive relationship.
• Coordinate with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure that all customer needs are met and that feedback is communicated back to management.
Operational Efficiency
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities, including crew performance, equipment issues, and other relevant project updates.
• Monitor the scheduling of crew members and assist with resource allocation for upcoming projects.
• Support sales representatives by providing insights into job scope and the feasibility of new projects.
Safety and Compliance
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols on-site and ensure that any deviations are immediately addressed.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure all personnel are adequately trained in safety procedures and equipment usage.
• Maintain and verify compliance with all required operational inspections and report deficiencies to the operations team.
EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (required)
• Additional technical or engineering education (AA or BS degree) is a plus but not required.
EXPERIENCE
• Must have Class A CDL License
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within water transfer, water treatment, or related industries.
• 3+ years of industry experience, including familiarity with water-related operations and equipment (e.g., diesel pumps, water treatment systems).
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of water transfer or water treatment operations and equipment.
• Experience in conducting site audits, evaluating worksite performance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using general computer and electronic devices for reporting and coordination.
• Ability to write summary reports and apply basic math for job planning and design.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS
• Regularly works in outdoor environments, exposed to various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
• Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection, vibration, dust, and moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to lift and manipulate equipment and tools, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Prolonged standing, walking, and working in physically demanding conditions.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours during critical operations or high-demand periods.
