About the role
As the Manager of Demo Systems Specialists, you will lead and scale a technical team responsible for building, maintaining, and innovating Rippling’s pre-sales demo environments. You will serve as the strategic bridge between technical infrastructure and field execution, ensuring our Solutions Consulting (SC) and Sales organizations have a flawless, high-impact product story to show prospects.
In this role, you will not only manage daily operations and troubleshooting queues, but you will also drive the long-term vision for our demo architecture, cross-functional data alignment, and team development.
What you will doTeam Leadership & Development- Manage and Mentor: Lead a growing team of Demo Systems Specialists, providing coaching, career development, and technical guidance.
- Resource Allocation: Oversee sprint planning, ticket triaging, and project assignments to ensure the team effectively balances daily support requests with long-term infrastructure projects.
- Culture: Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture aligned with Rippling's values.
- Environment Architecture: Own the roadmap for our demo environments, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and equipped with realistic, high-fidelity data sets.
- Release Management: Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure demo environments seamlessly absorb the latest product releases without disrupting active sales cycles.
- Data-Driven Improvement: Establish KPIs and track analytics around demo downtime, top technical issues, and support turnaround times to proactively improve environment infrastructure.
- Knowledge Management: Oversee the creation and upkeep of robust internal documentation, standardizing demo setup procedures and troubleshooting workflows for the broader SC organization.
- Field Alignment: Serve as the primary escalation point for Sales and Solutions Consulting leadership regarding critical demo environment needs.
- Product Feedback Loop: Translate recurring demo technical issues into actionable feedback for Core Product and Engineering teams to improve overall product stability.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Master's degree in business or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years in a technical support management role.
- Strong technical curiosity – ability to quickly learn complex SaaS systems and troubleshoot configurations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills – comfortable flexing between technical engineers and non-technical field-facing stakeholders.
- Passion for creating seamless, high-impact demo experiences.
