This role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful digital experiences for mission-driven organizations through strategy, research, and human-centered design.
You will lead complex website projects from discovery through execution, transforming business goals and user needs into intuitive, accessible solutions.
Working within a fully remote and collaborative environment, you will partner with clients, designers, developers, and internal teams.
The position combines UX strategy, content experience, information architecture, and visual design to create impactful web experiences.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior designer who thrives on solving complex challenges and creating scalable digital solutions.

Accountabilities:

As a strategic and hands-on UX/UI design expert, you will guide website initiatives by combining research, design thinking, and strong communication skills. You will help clients clarify challenges, define digital strategies, and deliver effective experiences while collaborating across teams.

  • Lead discovery activities, including stakeholder interviews, UX audits, content assessments, and user research analysis to identify opportunities and recommendations.
  • Translate research findings and business objectives into actionable UX strategies, information architectures, navigation structures, and content strategies.
  • Create design deliverables including wireframes, prototypes, page templates, high-fidelity visual designs, and responsive design systems.
  • Develop accessible and scalable UI patterns, component libraries, and design solutions that support long-term website success.
  • Present design concepts and strategic recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, explaining the reasoning behind design decisions.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives by contributing design expertise to proposals, discovery sessions, webinars, case studies, and educational content.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and creative teams to ensure designs are practical, optimized, and aligned with project goals.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior UX/UI designer with strong experience creating complex, content-rich websites and communicating strategic design decisions effectively. You should combine strong visual design capabilities with expertise in UX strategy, research, and digital experiences.

  • Senior-level UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating the full design process from discovery and strategy through final visual execution.
  • Advanced skills in Figma, including prototyping, design systems, component workflows, and client presentation materials.
  • Strong understanding of UX strategy, content strategy, information architecture, and content experience principles.
  • Excellent visual design skills, including typography, layout, hierarchy, responsive design, accessibility, and brand application.
  • Experience working in a creative agency environment with multiple clients and complex project requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex concepts clear for designers, developers, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, solve ambiguous problems, and create practical solutions.
  • Nice-to-have experience with coding, WordPress and/or Drupal platforms, or projects in healthcare, education, or mission-driven sectors.
  • Must be legally authorized to provide services in Canada and available for collaboration during Pacific Time business hours.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote contract opportunity available to candidates located in eligible Canadian provinces and territories.
  • Competitive hourly compensation range of $50–$70 CAD based on experience and skills.
  • Flexible project-based engagement with autonomy and the ability to contribute to meaningful digital initiatives.
  • Opportunity to work with collaborative teams on impactful website strategy and design projects.
  • Ability to showcase strategic design expertise through client work, thought leadership, and innovative digital solutions.
  • Inclusive and supportive environment focused on collaboration, growth, and professional development.
