Summary of the Position
Best Equipment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Service Advisor to support our Field Service Department. In this role, you will assist the Service Ops Manager by maintaining accurate records, coordinating field service activities, and ensuring reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with detailed processes, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach while supporting both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Opens work orders as directed by the Service Ops Manager and maintains control until they are closed & invoiced
- Prepare field service repair orders for billing purposes
- Maintains service schedules
- Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Field Service Department
- Maintains the Field Service library with current information (files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.).
- Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
- May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up
- Maintains Field Service Department filing and records
- May support other Best Equipment operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- General understanding of mechanical or technical terminology preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Occasional movement throughout warehouse, yard, and service areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
