At Skaalen Retirement Services, our Outdoor Maintenance Technicians help keep our 100+ acre campus safe, beautiful, and welcoming for our residents, families, and staff.

$18-$24 per hour

• Full-time, 40 hours per week

• Maintain lawns, landscaping, gardens, and outdoor spaces
• Perform snow removal, salting, and ice control during winter months
• Maintain sidewalks, parking lots, roads, and outdoor common areas
• Complete maintenance and repair requests in resident condos
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
• Operate mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment, and other maintenance tools
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive campus

• Someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors
• Reliable, motivated, and dependable
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in various weather conditions
• Previous maintenance, landscaping, construction, or groundskeeping experience is helpful but not required
