SUMMARY

Purpose

Own and advance litigation cases by managing pleadings, discovery, deadlines, and case coordination to support attorneys and ensure matters progress efficiently and compliantly through the litigation lifecycle.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Litigation Case Execution

  • Manage an assigned litigation caseload from suit filing through resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence in accordance with court rules and firm standards.
  • Calendar and monitor court deadlines, discovery timelines, and procedural requirements.
  • Coordinate service, filings, and hearing preparation.

Discovery & Case Support

  • Prepare and manage discovery requests, responses, and supplements.
  • Coordinate document collection, review, and production.
  • Support depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, vendors, and third parties as needed.

Documentation, Compliance & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and organized case files in the case management system.
  • Coordinate with Records, Liens, Foundations, and other internal teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules, confidentiality requirements, and firm policies.
  • Participate in case reviews, meetings, and planning sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFICIENCIES

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate or formal legal education preferred; relevant litigation experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Experience in personal injury, civil litigation or a related legal environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in pleadings, filings, and documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage court-driven deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Proficiency with case management systems, e-filing platforms, and standard office software.
